My name is Martin Reed and I've created this site to offer you some guidance on Ultra marathon races and training. Follow along as I take on different races and try to be the best Ultra runner I can be whilst always making sure that the journey is every bit as good as the end goal.

What works and has not worked for me

I am not a trained running coach but I have read up on coaching theory and have amassed a decent amount of personal experience which I will share with you to help you with your training choices.

My training philosophy is based around the 80/20 endurance model. I use their plans as a base on move things around to fit my races and life.

Following this model is a decision I have some to by myself and my recommendation is entirely from my own experiences.

What am I using?

I'll share some reviews and hints and tips based on the equipment I use in training and races. This will always be purchased by myself so I'll be honest about what works for me and what does not.
